Sige! Story time. My very favorite things that happened this week! There is this SUPER cute little boy in our ward, about 5 years old. So chatty! And he was just chatting with the New Zealand sister, and out of NO WHERE, he grabs her cheeks (like a grandmother would), shakes her face in his little hands and says to her with his face so close, "Ang pangit mo!" Which basically translates to "You are so ugly!" I LOST IT! It was so funny.
And the other day, Sis Quebec and I were walking in our area (and I have lots of kiddo buddies who give me highfives- its my FAV) and so there were four little boys who were holding lots of stuff, to the point where their hands were completely full. And as soon as they saw me, they literally dropped everything and RAN to me with their hands in the air, ready for a highfive. IT MELTED MY HEART. I've never loved kids more than when I came here. They are my BUDDIES for real.
Basta, happy happy EASTER SUNDAY. I'm so GRATEFUL for Easter season, which represents Jesus Christ's miraculous resurrection! I've been asked a lot here why Mormons don't use crosses as our symbol, and it's truly because we don't focus and linger our thoughts (although SO important) on the death of Jesus Christ, but more on His wonderful resurrection which secures in our minds that death is NOT the end, and that life has a perfect purpose. I love you all, and remember why we celebrate Easter! And how the easter bunny gives eggs. I still dont understand that. :)
