Week 28 "Sunlight"

Hi everyone! Life in the Philippines is a blast. My humor is getting cornier and cornier as the days fly by. Seriously, get ready for some CHEESY jokes. Filipino people are so much fun. One thing I really like about being here is that EVERYONE is everywhere. What I've grown up with are houses all lined up pretty and straight, with big yards and perfectly planted trees, and everyone is either sitting in the shade of a tree, or in their house. But here, everyone is everywhere. No one stays in their house, and when they do, their door is wide open. Kids run around and parents run with them. Dogs bark and cats are EVERYWHERE. It's a crazy world, definitely something differnent, but its also full of color. I really love Filipinos. They make it all worth it.
But it's been a good life.
Conference was AMAZING, and one thing I really loved came from Weatherford T. Clayton who said, "Even in our moments of deepest grief; when time stands still, and when life seems unbfair, we can find peace through Christ.." The light of Christ is as universal as Sunlight.
How comforting? Christ's light shines through ANY and all darkness. We are lucky to live in this day and age, even if it is plagued with trouble and hardships. We have so much knowledge at our fingertips and we have hope.

I love you all! Enjoy your lives. Life is good! Be happy, stay safe. :)
