Week 38 "The Message of the Restoration in it's Fullness"

Hi everyone! I'll try to make this email a little more exciting so that I don't lose my audience. ;)

On Monday, we had a normal proselyting day due to transfers, and that was that. It was kind of a normal missionary day... Nothing new.
Tuesday was PDAY! That's always a good day, we emailed our friends and family, which is the absolute highlight of Pday!
Wednesday was... yeah, nothing happened on Wednesday, either.

Haha. Wow, this is not a good start.

Thursday, okay Thursday was a good day! On Thursday, the rain came down and the floods came up! It rained like mad! (It was the only day this week where it rained, so in other words, it's rainy season, but we've been living in a sauna ðŸ˜‘)
So when it started raining, we were on our way to contact a referral, and when we got to their house, they saw us standing in the rain, soaking wet, and I'm sure they just felt so bad for us. Lol, so we stood out by their gate with water past our ankles, and they waved us into their home. But when we got inside, this lady and her husband stood by the door with their backs to us, while we sat on the floor right behind them.
After some really awkward and miserably failed attempts at sparking up some kind of conversation, we decided that while we were waiting, and they were ignoring us, we would do our comp study, somewhat hoping in our hearts that they were listening.
After the rain stopped, we tried one more time to spark some interest, and the lady finally turns to us and just stops us mid-sentence to say, "No. No, I'm sorry. I am pure catholic. Absolutely pure, and there's nothing that will change that. I was born catholic, and I will die catholic"
We left the house, with our first real rejection under our belts- and all of you serving in the states or in Europe, I understand now how you feel now! Ha ha! And I literally wanted to cry- and not so much from the actual rejection itself, but more from the fact that one of God's children doesn't understand. If these people KNEW what they were giving up, they wouldn't give it up.

This Gospel isn't just another religion. There is nothing ordinary about this work and about this Church. It is purely of God, and nothing anyone can say or do will change that. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. I know it.
Through Joseph Smith, through a completely ordinary boy with little formal education, wanting to know the truth and mysteries of God, the Church of Jesus Christ was restored to this earth in its FULLNESS. Not pieces or parts, or this and that lang, but the FULLNESS of the Everlasting Gospel was restored in its exactness.
All the evidence is tangible, and it is held together in my favorite book: The Book of Mormon. It's neat when you realize that every crazy question, no matter the background, has the same, perfect answer. The answer is what 71,000 of us, full-time missionaries around the world are sharing.
The answers are all there, are all found in this Gospel. Hearts can be healed, lives can be made new, people are given hope.

My invitation to everyone of you is to read the Book of Mormon. Just start reading- find relevance to your life through its stories. Even if you are already a member, and if you are not, read the Book of Mormon. Millions of people have found their answers, and it's changed their lives. I PROMISE that the Book of Mormon will change everything.
That is my testimony, and I want to say thanks to those of you who still read my emails home. That means a lot to me. :) I love you all, thank you to those who still email me, din. You're all cuties. :)

Stay strong, and enjoy the journey that is life.
